District Microsoft 365

To get started, open your web browser and go to https://www.office.com. 

Enter your Bradford South Scouts email address (firstname.lastname@bradfordsouthscouts.org.uk) and the temporary password you've been provided. You’ll then be asked to create a new password. Choose something secure and memorable that you don’t use elsewhere.

Once you’ve changed your password, you’ll be prompted to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This extra layer of security helps protect your account, even if your password is compromised. When prompted, click “Next” to begin the MFA setup process.

We recommend using the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. You can download this from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) by searching for “Microsoft Authenticator.” Once installed, open the app and allow notifications when prompted. Back on your computer screen, select “Mobile App” as your method and choose “Receive notifications for verification,” then click “Set up.”

A QR code will appear on the screen. In the Authenticator app, tap the plus icon to add an account and scan the QR code. Once it’s linked, click “Next” on the computer. You’ll receive a test notification on your phone – tap “Approve” to confirm. With that, your MFA setup is complete.

To access your email, return to https://www.office.com and click the Outlook icon, or go directly to https://outlook.office.com. This will take you to your inbox, where you can begin sending and receiving emails using your new Bradford South Scouts account.

For easy access in future, you should bookmark the Office homepage or install the Outlook mobile app. If you encounter any issues or haven’t received your login details, please get in touch with your group or district's IT department.
